Progress Reports go home with students tomorrow and some parents/guardians may have questions about what some of the terms might mean. At Susie Moo, all educators use the Science of Reading to understand how children learn to read, and to provide instruction at an appropriate level and pace. Using a structured literacy approach, educators use baseline assessments to understand student strengths and areas requiring development. The information below is meant as a glossary to help parents/guardians understand the terms used when teaching reading.
